Sustainability & Climate
BioStart Plants is committed to reducing our carbon footprint through sustainable production and specific dedicated services
Our strategy includes on the one hand the integration of sustainable practices, as for example our hardening greenhouse using heat pump to significantly reduce our carbon footprint, and on the other hand, the propagation of certain carbon crops to support soil recovery and carbon removal from the atmosphere.
Our core propagation technology impacts our environment:
Promotes Biodiversity: tissue culture plant propagation enhances biodiversity by rapidly producing high-quality, disease-resistant plants.
Reduces Pesticide Use: this method conserves water and reduces pesticide use, contributing to a healthier environment.
Reduce Fertilizer Use: healthier plants have a robust root system that is more efficient at absorbing nutrients from the soil. This means that farmers can achieve the same level of growth with less fertilizer.
Supports Reforestation: tissue culture facilitates large-scale reforestation and the development of climate-resilient crops, aiding in climate change mitigation.
